Abstract

The problem of plastic waste is currently a global issue that requires serious attention, including in Indonesia. Plastic waste, particularly coffee packaging, is a major contributor to inorganic waste that is difficult to decompose in the environment. In this paper, the author attempts to provide a creative solution by utilizing used coffee packaging to create useful and economically valuable handicrafts. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method, detailing the stages of making crafts from coffee packaging. The processing process includes collecting materials, washing, cutting, and weaving into products such as bags or wallets. This activity not only reduces plastic waste but also opens up creative business opportunities that can generate income for the community, particularly housewives and students. Therefore, processing coffee packaging waste into crafts is a form of innovation that supports a circular economy and preserves the environment. It is hoped that this activity will inspire the wider community to care more about the environment in a creative and productive way.
